Scott Building is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, visitors, contractors and clients. We maintain a number of robust ‘pre-qualifications’ and accreditations including various local councils, ISN, IMPAC and Site Safe; meaning that our framework for managing Health & Safety is constantly undergoing review and improvement.
With Building and Demolition waste making up 40-50% of New Zealand’s landfill, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. One of the biggest impacts we can have as a Building contractor is to minimise waste; we are achieving this through strong partnerships with local waste management contractors and a range of supporting initiatives including site-specific waste management plans, staff and subcontractor education, design collaboration and procurement policies. A number of our staff are Greenstar Accredited.
Scott Building is a proud partner of New Zealand Building Alliance (NZCA). NZCA is an alliance of like-minded regionally-based commercial Building companies providing New Zealand-wide commercial Building solutions. A unique benefit NZCA offers is the ability to gain and share knowledge openly between it’s partners

We’ve been building across Nelson, Marlborough and Central South Island for more than 55 years, and we’re one of the South Island’s largest locally owned Building companies. Our work spans architectural homes through to civil and commercial projects.
